Rice Flows for Fish Food
A spatial database for salmonid food production on Sacramento Valley rice fields. Substantial recent research has demonstrated the food production benefits of floodplain inundation can increase growth and survival of rearing juvenile salmonids. Approximately 500,000 acres of rice fields have the potential to produce food that can be delivered to the Delta, the Sacramento River, and their contributing watersheds to benefit juvenile salmon and other native fish.

Juvenile Production Estimate: DataTackle App
Salmon monitoring data is critical to managing healthy fish populations and the natural resources supporting those populations. Management decisions require timely, high-quality, interoperable data which requires integrated data management throughout the data lifecycle. This is not feasible using traditional methods of data collection and data management.

Building the Future: Tribal Data Framework for Watershed Management
The Upper Mattaponi Tribe lacked a centralized system for managing geospatial and environmental data, making it difficult to submit information to the EPA’s Water Quality Exchange Network and limiting their ability to leverage data in watershed management efforts.

Upper Klamath Basin Watershed Action Plan
The Watershed Action Plan is an adaptive planning tool that guides and prioritizes future restoration projects in the Upper Klamath Basin. The Action Plan identifies restoration opportunities through a Restoration Prioritization Framework, which was developed by FlowWest through a collaborative process with key community and agency partners.
