Effective salmon population management hinges on timely, high-quality, and interoperable data across the region. Traditional monitoring programs operate on single systems, often resulting in fragmented, inconsistent data that is costly and time-consuming to integrate.
Tech to the Rescue
To address these challenges, FlowWest developed a tablet application for collecting rotary screw trap data essential for the Spring Run Juvenile Production Estimate project. We compiled over 30 years of monitoring data across seven systems and collaborated with field crews to design an intuitive and efficient user interface tailored to the monitoring program’s workflows.
