FlowWest in the Field: OpenET Consortium

This week, FlowWest’s Data Analyst Maddee Rubenson attended the OpenET Applications conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico. OpenET uses open-source models to model water consumption at daily, monthly, and yearly time-steps.

The conference showcased OpenET applications across geography and sectors to foster discussion about critical water management challenges.

Maddee had a great time connecting with folks across multiple government sectors and spanning a large geography. Adding evapotranspiration and consumptive use to the FlowWest toolkit through OpenET can inform many projects related to water quantity in the Central Valley and beyond.

Thank you to the OpenET consortium for creating a phenomenal open-source product and bringing the community together in New Mexico!
