Senior Restoration Engineer

Senior Restoration Engineer

Lead transformative river, floodplain, and habitat restoration across the West

FlowWest is looking for a Senior Restoration Engineer who’s ready to step into a role with real influence—technical, strategic, and cultural. This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer to guide high impact restoration projects, shape the future of water resources in California, and mentor the next generation of practitioners.

At FlowWest, we bring together engineers, scientists, and designers who believe that great work happens at the intersection of rigor, creativity, and environmental stewardship. Our projects restore ecosystems, support communities, and help solve some of the most complex water challenges in the West.

If you’re a senior level engineer who wants your expertise to matter, you’ll thrive here.

Your Impact

In this role, you will:

  • Lead engineering design and analysis for river, floodplain, wetland, and watershed restoration projects
  • Drive habitat restoration and fish passage solutions that directly support species recovery
  • Shape project strategy, guide multidisciplinary teams, and elevate technical excellence
  • Influence how restoration is practiced across California and the Pacific Northwest
  • Mentor junior engineers and help grow FlowWest’s technical depth and design capabilities
  • Other related duties as needed to meet FlowWest’s design and project development needs

Your work will be visible, meaningful, and deeply connected to the health of ecosystems and communities.
