Junior / Staff Engineer
Help lead the next generation of river, floodplain, and habitat restoration in the West
FlowWest is looking for a Junior or Staff Engineer ready to build a career at the intersection of engineering rigor and environmental impact. Your Impact
In this role, you will:
• Support engineering analyses for river, wetland, and watershed restoration projects
• Help develop plansets and specifications for ecosystem construction projects
• Contribute to water resources planning analyses and technical report writing
• Work directly alongside senior engineers and scientists on high-visibility restoration work
• Build skills in hydraulic modeling, construction documents, and design software
• Other related duties as needed to meet FlowWest's design and project development needs

Required Skills & Attributes
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• 0–5 years of relevant experience
• Intention to pursue a California PE license
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
• An upbeat, positive, and social attitude, with a willingness to learn
Desired Skills & Attributes
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience assisting in the development of construction documents
• Experience with HEC-RAS or similar hydraulic modeling software
• Passion for ecosystems and the environment
